AMC’S NEEDS
- A safety magazine that provides articles related to specific aspects of AMC operations while still being understandable and interesting to a general audience.
- A team well-versed in the Air Force publications management standards and Department of Defense regulations regarding publishing policies.
SOLUTION
Schatz currently provides complete editorial and graphic design services for this command level Air Force safety publication entitled The Mobility Forum. For this publication, Schatz provides a range of publication management and coordination services. The Schatz Publishing team assigned to produce this product obtains technical information from government sources and writes/rewrites material to make it understandable to a general military audience. The process includes editorial planning, assigning and coordinating articles with writers from various regions around the country, interviewing subject matter experts, fact-checking, submission of copy to customer for approval, coordinating customer revisions, comprehensive editing, obtaining photographs and/or graphics, complete graphic design services, and preparing the publication for print to a contract GPO printer. Schatz partners with the client and attends various military functions and seminars to photograph events for the publication. The project follows a regular schedule with updates being provided to the customer at selected milestones.
RESULTS
Schatz’s contributions to this project have resulted in an award-winning publication delivering a strong safety message, recognized for its graphic design and content.
